What is Love? Celebrities Share What Love Truly Means To Them
February arrives as a gentle reminder that love is not one-dimensional. It’s felt in quiet sacrifices, expressed in loyalty, rooted in family, and sometimes discovered within ourselves before anyone else. As Valentine’s season approaches, The Buzz Nepal asked a few of our favorite public figures one simple yet profound question: What is love?
Their answers were honest, personal, and beautifully varied, proving that love cannot be confined to romance alone. For some, it is selflessness. For others, it is strength, respect, or an unconditional presence that remains steady regardless of circumstance. In their own words, Nepal’s beloved icons share what love truly means to them.
Divya Rayamajhi (Actress)

“I think love is being selfless. In a world where everyone is focused on their own lives, love is when you naturally start thinking about someone else first, not out of obligation, but because their happiness becomes part of your own.”
Diwiz Piya Lama (MMA Trainer):

“From my understanding, love is an unconditional feeling that’s hard to describe in words. You feel it for someone or something regardless of circumstances.”
Suprim Pandey (Model):

“For me, love is RANI. That’s my personal definition of love for my special someone. If RANI exists, love exists; if she does not, love ends. In simple terms, love is any selfless action performed toward someone else, even when it’s challenging.”
Usha Rajak (Actress):

“For me, love begins with self-respect. It’s choosing truth over comfort, creating emotional safety, and allowing yourself the freedom to be fully who you are, while also making room for the other person’s needs. When self-love is strong, love becomes consistent, kind, and expansive just like two people meeting with honesty, responsibility, and the courage to grow together.”
Subeksha Khadka (Model/Actress):

“Love is kindness and compassion. It doesn’t yearn for perfection yet love gives you enough space to grow, inspire and refuses to give up. Love is respecting each other’s values ideology and embracing the imperfection. Love is being the strongest pillar to one another in sickness and health. Love is to be seen and heard”
