The Rise of Rockheads
What started as four friends casually jamming along in a room ended up forming a band together. Each of the friends picked up the instrument that they felt gravitated the most towards. Initially, the band had few line-up changes and even change of members but currently the band has Sanjay Aryal on Vocals/Bass; Samyak Lama on Drum; Ridesh Tamang on Guitar; and Dawa Sherpa on Keyboard.
The band was initially formed in 2010. It was in 2020 that they started making their own music and started to be well-known among the audiences. The group name “Rockheads” has a very subtle meaning to it which shows their versatility to adopt all sub-genres of Rock (Hard Rock, Pop Rock, Folk Rock, Soft Rock).

The band members each have their own personality but the love for music and the dream to grow big that they share is what brings them together as a band. Before the pandemic, all group members were busy with other projects and prioritized Rockheads as a side project. In the year 2020, the group released their first official single ‘Sidha Kura’ via their YouTube. The song garnered a positive reaction and rekindled their journey as a group. The group gained massive popularity with the release of ‘Ranga’ in 2021.

The band completed its first national tour in 2023 and international tour in 2024. The band believes in the magic of making music and spreading their music across and beyond the nation. The band is always looking out and trying different approaches on the music video.
