Netflix’s hit Japanese survival-thriller series Alice in Borderland is making its much-anticipated return this year, and fans around the world are bracing for another high-stakes ride. The show, which became the most-watched Japanese title on the platform globally, is set to drop its third season on Thursday, September 25, 2025, exclusively on Netflix.

In the last season, Arisu (Kento Yamazaki) and Usagi (Tao Tsuchiya) managed to clear all the deadly games, finally returning to reality. Their memories of the mysterious borderland were erased, allowing them to build a new life together – one filled with marriage and happiness. But peace never lasts long in Alice in Borderland.

Season 3 picks up with unsettling turns. Arisu and Usagi begin experiencing flashes of their forgotten past through dreams and hallucinations. Their fragile reality shatters when Usagi suddenly disappears under the guidance of afterlife researcher Ryuji (Kento Kaku). At the same moment, Banda (Hayato Isomura) hands Arisu the ultimate card: the Joker.

The Joker card sets the stage for an uncharted journey, opening a new chapter filled with mystery, danger, and the possibility of answers that fans have long been waiting for.

With its signature mix of psychological tension, survival drama, and emotional depth, Alice in Borderland Season 3 promises to take audiences deeper into the unknown – and perhaps reveal the true meaning of the borderland itself.
