Award Ceremony for 16th Toyota Dream Car Art National Contest

Today, Toyota Nepal successfully awarded the prize to the winner of the 16th Toyota Dream Car Art National Contest at United Traders Syndicate Pvt. Ltd., which had been conducted for a month. Toyota Dream Car Art National Contest is a social contribution initiative taken by Toyota since 2004 to encourage children worldwide to dream, imagine, and inspire one another. Toyota has inspired nearly 6.2 million children from 100 countries to dream. This year alone, there were about 5,30,000 entries from 78 countries and regions around the globe.

This is an opportunity for tomorrow’s engineers, designers, and creative thinkers to let their imaginations run wild by designing their own ‘Dream Car’. There were more than 500 artworks from inside and outside the valley from which nine winners were announced in respective three categories. They were chosen and shortlisted by Toyota Nepal judges, and their artwork will be submitted to Japan as the International 16th Toyota Dream Car Art Contest winner in the respective categories. The age categories were A-7 years old or younger, B-8 to 11 years old, and C-12 to 15 years old.

The event began with a welcoming speech, followed by short remarks from the judges and management team, then certificates were presented to the winners. The winners of Category A are Elvin Thapa (Everest School, Butwal), Osme Rajitkar (Ace School, Gairigaun), and Akshyata Dawadi (Rai School, Naxal).

And the winners of Category B are Karanajeet Rao (Galaxy Public School), Arnav Man Joshi (Daffodil Public School), and Ujwal Shah (Ambition Academy). Similarly, the winners of Category C are Manit Shrestha (Pathshala Nepal Foundation), Wonjala Maharjan (Galaxy Public School), and Prachee Shrestha (Everest School, Butwal).

The winners’ artwork was revealed, followed by the gift hamper ceremony, and the event concluded with a picture session of the winners with their parents, school representatives, and the management team. The sponsors of the contest were Kitab Kalam Stationery Mart, Guranse Organic Tea, Thread Arts, Creative Kraft Paper Bags Nepal, Thimi Ceramics, Manang Marshyandi Club, Perfect Sign & Advertise, and Ravi Garments.
