Cetamol Unveils Teaser, Stirring Buzz in Nepali Cinema
The upcoming Nepali film Cetamol has entered the public eye with renewed energy following the release of its official teaser by OSR Digital. The teaser, released on Ashad 15, gives audiences a brief yet impactful look into the emotional and socially resonant themes the film plans to explore. Complementing the teaser, a set of powerful new posters has been unveiled- stirring curiosity and discussion across social media.
Directed by Raj Bahadur Sane, Cetamol is scheduled for theatrical release on August 8, 2025 (Shrawan 23, 2082 B.S.). The film brings together acclaimed actors Saugat Malla and Benisha Hamal, along with a broad ensemble that includes Shree Krishna Niraula, Januka Vishwakarma, Lokendra Lekhak, and child actor Karan Nepali. Early visuals suggest a serious, character-driven narrative, with Saugat Malla’s role standing out for its emotional weight- he is seen in a distressed state, leaning on a crutch, hinting at both physical and internal battles.
According to promotional materials and announcements, Cetamol aims to reflect Nepal’s everyday realities while also tackling deeper-rooted societal issues. The story is written by Pradeep Bharadwaj in collaboration with director Raj Bahadur Sane, and is said to explore themes of superstition, suffering, and survival- likely rooted in historical and socio-political backdrops.
The film is presented by Simos Sunuwar and jointly produced by Tulsi Devi Films and Juntara Films. Confirmed producers include Bhugol Kumar Karki and Bikash Raj Joshi, with Apsara Nepali, Ajay Malla, and Kumar KC serving as executive producers. The casting, production announcements, and teaser rollout suggest a project that blends narrative depth with a strong visual identity.
With emotionally charged imagery, a socially resonant theme, and a teaser that has already captured the audience’s attention, Cetamol is shaping up to be one of this summer’s most anticipated Nepali films.
