Jana Ba Dyo at Gallery 108

Gallery 108 is organizing their fourth exhibition Jana Ba Dyo. The exhibition will feature the artworks of Sushila Singh. The exhibition will be on display from April 5, 2025 to April 15, 2025.
The featured artworks will showcase the grand journey of Seto Machindranath and the monumental chariot (rath). The visitors will get the rare opportunity to witness the chariot procession from the gallery’s rooftop which will combine artistry with living rituals. Singh with her intricate sketches has captured the spirit, labor, and devotion behind the annual chariot procession, a sacred ritual upheld by the Newar community.
Her works document the meticulous craftsmanship involved in constructing the towering rath, from the binding of its wooden framework to the sacred ornaments that adorn it. Each sketch traces the movement of the chariot as it is pulled through different parts of the city, echoing the collective effort, faith, and celebration that define this centuries-old tradition.

The exhibition will be on display from April 5, 2025 to April 15, 2025.
