Nischal Basnet, born on January 17, 1981, in Kathmandu, Nepal, is a versatile figure in the Nepali Film Industry, recognized for his roles as a director, producer, actor, dancer, and singer. His career soared to prominence with his directorial debut in 2012 with the film “Loot,” which not only captured the hearts of audiences but also set unprecedented records at the Nepali box office. Building on this success, Basnet went on to produce and star in the widely acclaimed “Kabaddi,” followed by its successful sequel.
His directorial journey continued with “Talak Jung VS Tulke,” a film that garnered critical acclaim and even earned a nomination for the prestigious Oscar Awards.
