The 8th Nepal International Film Festival (NIFF) commenced on March 20, 2025. The festival is scheduled to run until March 24, 2025 and the venues are Civil Mall, Chhaya Center, and the Nepal Tourism Board in Kathmandu.

The 8th Nepal International Film Festival (NIFF), in partnership with the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation and Roskino, have launched Russian Film Day, a special homage to Russian cinema and consisting of three exciting Russian films for the Nepali audiences. The venue for the event is QFX Chhaya Center and the timing is 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM. The entry is free as well. The featuring films and their schedule are as follows

12.30 – 02.30 PM: Втроём | Threesome 

02.45 – 04.45 PM: Четыре четверти | Four Quarters 

05.00 – 07.15 PM: Нюрнберг | Nuremberg 

The 8th edition of NIFF promises an unforgettable experience for cinema lovers by featuring more than just films. They are also serving as a platform for filmmakers, actors, film enthusiasts, and like minded individuals to connect and gain insight into the filmmaking process, which will also create opportunities for collaboration. 

While the entry for Russian Film day is free for other screenings, tickets are available through Khalti, the official ticket partner. You can either download the Khalti app or visit their website. Door sales will also be available.
