“Success isn’t a destination for me, it’s a continuous journey of growth, gratitude, and becoming.”
What does a typical day in your life look like when you’re not working?
When I’m not working, it’s all about balance and peace. I spend quality time with my family, whether that’s travelling or simply being at home. I enjoy unwinding withdocumentariesor a good film, something that refreshes my mind and offers a new perspective. It’s my way of recharging so I can return to work with clarity and purpose.
What does success mean to you at this stage of your life?
Success, for me, is not a destination, it’s an ongoing journey. While I’m grateful for the milestones I’ve achieved, it’s really about continuous growth and evolution. Reflecting on how far I’ve come fills me with gratitude, but it also reminds me that there’s still so much more to learn, experience, and accomplish.
What is your dream stage?
My dream stage is one of those iconic arenas where the biggest artists perform, massive crowds, millions of people connected through music. There’s something incrediblypowerfulabout that energy. Being on stage, feeding off that connection, is what makes me feel truly alive.
Is there a song you’ve created that feels like a piece of your soul? Why?
Sangai Chhu Ma holds a very special place in my heart. It may not be a massive hit, but those who have heard it truly feel it. The music video carries a deeply emotional story of love and loss, and every time I perform it, it moves me to tears. It’s one of the most honest expressions of who I am.
Are there any unreleased songs? What are they about, and do you plan to release them?
Yes, I have several unreleased songs that I’m planning to roll out gradually. I’ve created a love song dedicated to my husband, as well as a tribute to my homeland. I have also had an opportunity to work on a Hindi track recorded at Yash Raj Studios, the video is ready, and we’re awaiting its official release on a major platform in India. It’s an exciting time, and I can’t wait to share these with everyone.

If your current phase in life had a soundtrack, what would it sound like?
Right now, it would be slow and reflective. I’m learning a lot, growing into a more mature version of myself. While there’s still joy and fun, there’s also a deeper sense of responsibility. It’s a transformative and fascinating phase.
Is there an artist you’d like to collaborate with?
At the moment, I’m focused on releasing my own music. But in the future, I’d love to collaborate with someone if our visions and energy align organically.
Can you create your ideal concert tracklist?
It really depends on theaudienceand the setting. For a large, energetic crowd, I’d go for high-energy tracks like Sarara, Oh Maicha, Maan Chaina, and Oh Makka. For a more intimate atmosphere, I’d lean towards softer songs like Sangai Chhu Ma and Saath, along with some of the mellow tracks I’ll be releasing this year. The setlist always evolves with the vibe.
If your fans had a fandom name, what would you call them?
I’d call them The Rainmakers. It connects beautifully with my stage name, K and Rain, and reflects a community that’s strong, creative, and full of life, just like rain.
