The promising official teaser trailer of the international award-winning Nepali movie “Halkara” is now available on YouTube in Kalipaar Studios. This film is based on a factual narrative conveyed in a lyrical manner about foreign employment in Nepali society via the medium of a villager delivering letters. This drama movie was written and directed by Bikram Sapkota, who has been living in the US.

“Halkara” is presented under the banner of the Kalipaar Studios and Icefall Productions, which have also produced the critically acclaimed and Oscar-recommended film ‘Aaina Jhyalko Putali’. Mahesh Tripathi portrays the role of ‘Ram’, a postman, while Binita Thapa Magar plays the character of ‘Magar Miya’, around whom the entire film revolves. He was also awarded ‘Best Actor’ at the Worldfest Houston International Film Festival in America. Not only that, the film has received multiple awards like ‘Best Long Narrative NAIFF-Nepal America International Film Festival-2022′, ‘Platinum Remi Award’, and ‘Gold Remi Award’.

The film also stars Umesh Tamang, Pashupati Rai, late actor Deepak Chhetri, and Bidya Karki. This masterpiece is set to be released on May 12 across the country.
