Ekta Books to Host Valentine’s Week Bookstore Date in Thapathali

Ekta Books, Thapathali is set to host its annual Valentine’s Week Bookstore Date from February 8 to 13, 2026, offering a week-long celebration of books, conversations, and creative experiences. The event centers around a free-entry, bookish scavenger hunt with a bingo-style twist, complemented by a thoughtfully curated lineup of literary and cultural activities.

Running daily from 10 AM to 5 PM, the scavenger hunt invites visitors to explore the bookstore at their own pace by completing light-hearted, book-themed challenges. Open to couples, friends, and solo visitors alike, the activity encourages discovery across genres and shelves while offering participants the chance to win rewards and enjoy special discounts upon completing the tasks.

Alongside the daily scavenger hunt, Ekta Books has scheduled several highlights throughout the week. The event opens on February 8 with “A Shared Love for Nepali Literature,” a conversation with acclaimed author Amar Neupane, moderated by Ken Subedi, Director of Shangri-La Sambad. The session will begin at 2 PM.

On February 9, “भावनाका कुराहरु” with My Emotions Matter will take place from 4 PM to 5 PM, offering an interactive space focused on emotions, self-reflection, and meaningful dialogue.

A special movie screening is scheduled for February 11 at Ektafe Brew Manor, the cafe located within the Ekta Books Thapathali premises, known for serving Nepali Arabica specialty coffee. Two screenings will be held at 3 PM and 6 PM, inviting visitors to unwind with a feel-good film as part of the Valentine’s Week celebration.

The week will conclude on February 13 with a Valentine’s Special Doodle Booth, featuring live sketches by artists Alina and Kalami. Running from 10 AM to 6 PM, the booth will offer personalized doodles for visitors, turning shared moments into illustrated keepsakes. Artist charges will apply.
