At just 20, Lakshay Dorje Tamang is redefining what it means to chase your dreams in Nepal’s fashion and entertainment scene. Originally from Dharan, he moved to Kathmandu in early 2023 for college, but books weren’t the only thing on his mind. With confidence, curiosity, and a camera-ready spark, Lakshay began reaching out to brands for shoots and campaigns. One message led to another – and soon, he was walking into auditions, landing gigs, and carving his name in the city’s creative circuit.

The Rise of a Dreamer

Lakshay’s journey hasn’t been all glamour. Like most self-made talents, he learned the value of persistence and self-worth the hard way.

“I used to do free collaborations even though I had the potential to create more. Now, I’m focused on mastering my craft and aiming higher.”

For him, growth came through understanding that talent means little without boundaries and professionalism.

Finding Balance Beyond the Lens

Between shoots, workouts, and much-needed downtime, Lakshay has found his rhythm in an industry that rarely pauses.

“Balancing is the ultimate life lesson this industry has taught me,” he says.

He swears by intermittent fasting, light workouts, and a Korean skincare routine that keeps his skin glowing on and off the camera. “I tend to be lean every time – that’s my goal,” he laughs, proving that discipline doesn’t mean rigidity.

Model Turned Actor

Modeling was never the endgame for Lakshay – it was the gateway. With two web series already released and another in the pipeline, he’s stepping into acting with fresh confidence.

“Modeling was my way into acting. Film has always been my main goal,” he shares.

His upcoming role, he hints, will surprise fans. “Expect something completely different from who I am in real life. Spoiler: I’m in a lavender love.”

Style and Substance

When it comes to fashion, Lakshay’s style is a blend of minimalism and edge. His biggest inspiration? Wisdom Kaye, the global style icon known for turning boldness into art.

“Wisdom’s style is bold and confident. That’s what I aim for too.”

Lakshay’s aesthetic mirrors that same confidence – fearless, expressive, and ever-evolving.

The Person Behind the Poise

Off the runway, Lakshay is refreshingly grounded and relatable. “I can work for hours without eating, but I can also sleep straight for 14 hours,” he laughs – a glimpse into the young model’s easygoing side.
