A closer look at the soul behind Nepal’s rising screen star
Radiant, resilient, and redefining the face of modern Nepali cinema – Miruna Magar is a name we’ve grown to associate with both artistic integrity and emotional depth. From her unforgettable performances in Kabaddi 4, Jaari, to the recent audience favourite Unko Sweater, Miruna has emerged as more than just a rising star. from her recent projects.
With a magnetic screen presence and a heart tuned to the nuances of human experience, Miruna describes her love for cinema as a way of connecting across boundaries. “Acting is more than a profession,” she says, “it’s a powerful form of communication.” Every role she embodies is a channel for empathy, allowing viewers to see parts of themselves reflected on screen.

When asked what she’d be doing if not acting, Miruna reveals a deeply thoughtful side.
“I think I’d still be somewhere close to people’s stories,” she reflects. “Maybe working in development projects or running a little cozy cafe where conversations flow as easily as coffee. I’ve always loved the idea of creating spaces where people feel seen, heard and safe,” she says – an ethos that extends far beyond the set.
A Glimpse into What’s Next
While she remains tight-lipped about upcoming projects, there’s no hiding the excitement in her words.
“I’m stepping into roles that feel very close to who I am today, but also challenge me both emotionally and creatively,” she teases. “It’s a journey filled with discovery, vulnerability, and a lot of passion.”
Fans can expect performances that resonate with honesty and heart – a continuation of her commitment to storytelling that matters.
Miruna’s sense of style is as thoughtful as her craft. She defines it as “classic with a modern, personal twist,” drawing inspiration from vintage cinema, global street style, and the people she meets along the way.

In a moment of reflection, Miruna shares the advice she would give to her younger self:
“Trust the timing of your life. Embrace every moment, even the confusing or challenging ones. Growth often happens in silence.”

Moments of Calm
Despite the glitz of film sets and red carpets, Miruna finds peace in life’s quiet corners. Whether it’s reading, laughing over a programme, or taking a solo walk, she cherishes moments of stillness. “I love finding a cosy corner in a cafe or spending time with close friends,” she shares. “That’s how I recharge.”
When asked about any funny behind-the-scenes stories during filming she shares, “I’ve been lucky to work with so many wonderful co-stars, but Dhiraj Magar has such a natural way of bringing lightness and laughter on set. We had a great time working together and I remember one scene that was supposed to be very serious. We kept breaking into laughter because of one inside joke he cracked off camera.”
With each new role and revelation, Miruna Magar reminds us that cinema, at its best, is about connection. She brings a blend of grace, grit, and generosity to her craft – making her not just a star on the rise, but a storyteller whose voice is only growing stronger.
