Nepali Diaspora’s Triumph: ‘Mero Voice and Dance Universe’ Grand Finale Set

The Intra Nepal Welfare and Support Foundation of America’s “My Voice Universe” and “My Dance Universe” competitions have captivated Nepalis worldwide. Offering a staggering Rs 10 million to the winner and valuable rewards to other top contenders, these competitions aim to celebrate and uphold Nepali culture and language among the global Nepalese community.
The Grand Finale, set at Godavari’s Sunrise Conference Hall, will witness the showdown between the top five contestants in each category. Nepal Television will broadcast the event live, ensuring a widespread audience for the exceptional talents on display.

The singing competition, “Mero Voice Universe,” features Shishir Thatal and Pritam Rai from Sikkim, Sairaj Khati from Darjeeling, Paresh Rai from Sankhuwasabha, and Sharad Humagai from Kavre as the final five contestants. Meanwhile, “Mero Dance Universe” showcases Minga Di Lepcha (Sikkim), Khushi Karki (Thailand), Devi Garvuja Magar (Belgium), Susling Magar from Mahottari, and Swastik Aryal from Gorkha.
Dilli Adhikari, the foundation’s president, emphasized the competitions’ role in fostering unity among globally dispersed Nepalese while preserving their cultural heritage. With renowned judges and participants hailing from 52 countries, the competitions have succeeded in creating a platform that resonates with Nepalis’ interests and aspirations. As the finalists gear up for the Grand Finale, the anticipation grows, and the foundation’s commitment to nurturing and expanding these remarkable events remains strong.
