Samsung Galaxy A24 Review: A Great Value Smartphone

Samsung has launched its latest A-series smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy A24, in Nepal. This new device was first introduced in Vietnam in late April 2023 and has now made its way to Nepali markets. The smartphone is priced at Rs. 28,999 for the 6/128GB variant and Rs. 31,999 for the 8/128GB variant. It is now available for purchase at Samsung showrooms and retail stores across Nepal.

The Galaxy A24 comes with impressive specifications, including a MediaTek Helio G99 chipset, a Super AMOLED 90Hz display, and a 50MP camera equipped with OIS. The phone’s design resembles that of Samsung’s flagship S-series phones, with a vertical array camera ring design that is also present on other A-series phones such as the Galaxy A14, Galaxy A34, and Galaxy A54.

The phone’s display measures 6.5 inches diagonally and is a Full HD+ Super AMOLED screen that supports up to a 90 Hz refresh rate and 1000 nits of peak brightness. The device features an Infinity-U design notch to house the selfie camera, and the bottom bezel is slightly larger than the rest.

The Galaxy A24 is powered by a MediaTek Helio G99 chipset, which is becoming a popular choice among budget phones in 2023. The processor is built on 6nm process technology and is an octa-core processor with a Mali-G57 GPU. The CPU setup has two Arm Cortex-A76 cores clocked at up to 2.2 GHz and six Arm Cortex-A55 cores clocked at up to 2.0 GHz. The chipset is an updated version of the Helio G96 chipset, built using a more efficient 6nm process and boosted CPU clock speed. The phone has 6/8 GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.

The Samsung Galaxy A24’s camera setup includes a 50MP primary camera with an f/1.8 aperture and OIS. The main camera is accompanied by a 5 MP ultrawide camera and a 2 MP macro camera. The front-facing camera is a 13 MP camera, which is an upgrade from the Galaxy A23’s 8 MP camera. Both the front and back cameras can shoot up to 1080p video at 30 fps.

The phone includes a 5000mAh battery and supports 25W fast charging. However, the supported charger is not provided with the phone, and customers will need to purchase it separately. The device also comes with a USB Type-C 2.0 port, OTG support, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, and accelerometer, gyro, and compass sensors. It has a dedicated microSDXC slot for expandable storage and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

In conclusion, the Samsung Galaxy A24 is an excellent choice for users looking for a budget-friendly smartphone with impressive specifications and features. Its powerful processor, high-resolution camera setup, and long-lasting battery make it a great option for both personal and professional use. The phone’s sleek design and AMOLED display also add to its appeal, making it a device that is both aesthetically pleasing and functional. Overall, Samsung has done an excellent job of delivering a high-quality smartphone that provides great value for its price.
