The Rise of Streetwear Originality
Tasta Unrivaled — Redefining Nepali Street Fashion
When it comes to originality in Nepali streetwear, Tasta Unrivaled stands as a bold statement of creativity and authenticity. Founded by Wherry KC and Urmila Tamang, the brand was born from a realization — Nepal’s fashion scene lacked originality. Most designs were repetitive, and the quality often failed to meet expectations. Determined to change that narrative, the duo began their journey to create clothing that represented individuality, identity, and craftsmanship.

After months of research into fabrics and design, they launched their first hoodie in 2024. To their surprise, it sold out without any paid promotions — a milestone that proved genuine creativity doesn’t need algorithms to shine. “The response was real and organic,” says the founders. “It showed us that people were ready for something different.”
The Meaning Behind the Name
The name Tasta represents self-expression — the freedom to wear what defines you. The word Unrivaled was added to symbolize the brand’s commitment to originality and craftsmanship that stand apart from fleeting trends. Together, they capture a spirit of confidence and individuality that runs through every design.
Crafting Emotion Through Design
Every piece begins with a story. From sketching ideas to hand-selecting fabrics and experimenting with cuts and textures, each step is a thoughtful process. Handmade bleach art and custom detailing make every item one-of-a-kind. “We never release anything unless it feels perfect in both design and quality,” they share. This attention to detail has become Tasta’s signature.

Building With Purpose
Creating something meaningful hasn’t come without challenges. “There were times when the finishing didn’t match what we had imagined,” they recall. That inspired the founders to learn fashion design themselves — ensuring full creative control from concept to creation.
Their growth has been entirely organic. Without relying on paid marketing, they’ve built a loyal community through word of mouth, where returning customers continue to seek new drops. It’s a success story rooted in passion, patience, and purpose.
Fashion With Conscious Intent
Sustainability remains a key part of their philosophy. The duo avoids mass production and focuses on limited releases, reducing waste while giving more value to each piece. Every item is locally made with mindfulness — a reminder that fashion can be both creative and responsible.
From a sold-out hoodie to custom pieces that tell stories, Tasta Unrivaled continues to evolve — creatively and technically. Their next goal is to develop signature fabrics and original patterns, taking Nepali streetwear to the global stage.
The founders envision a future where Nepali fashion is recognized internationally for its originality and artistry. “We want to prove that originality can come from Nepal — that people don’t need to look abroad for something unique and premium,” they affirm.
A Message for Fashion Lovers
“Be true to your style. Fashion isn’t about following what’s popular — it’s about expressing who you are,” they share. “When you wear our pieces, you wear originality, confidence, and a story.”
