Ujan Shakya Wo: Emerge Is Taking Australia by Storm, and the Tour Starts Today, 28th April
The Nepali diaspora in Australia is in for a treat this May, and it all kicks off tonight in Brisbane.
Ujan ShakyaWo: Emerge is officially on Australian soil, and their debut Australia Tour 2026 is one of the most exciting things to happen for the Nepali community Down Under in a long time. Five cities, five nights, one band that has been quietly building one of the most devoted fanbases in Nepali music. Starting today, April 28 inBrisbane, the tour will move through Canberra, Melbourne, Hobart, and Sydney before wrapping up on May 16.
The full tour schedule is as follows: Brisbane at The Tivoli on April 28, organized by KTM Events; Canberra on May 9 with Vibe in the Capital; Melbourne on May 11 at Night Escape; Hobart on May 15 with Aayo Gorkhali Events; and Sydney on May 16 with The Peak Events. Five cities across the country, giving Nepalicommunitiesfrom coast to coast the chance to experience the band live.

And Sydney has something extra special in store. Nepa Jatra 2026 in Sydney brings Ujan Shakya together on the same stage as Kuma Sagar and The Khwopa Band for what promises to be one of the biggest nights of Nepali music Australia has seen. Two of Nepal’s most loved acts sharing a single stage at the Hordern Pavilion is the kind of lineup that sells out fast.
Ujan Shakya Wo: Emerge has carved out a distinctive space in the Nepali music scene with a sound that blends soulful vocals,Newaricultural roots, and contemporary arrangements that resonate deeply with younger Nepali audiences both at home and abroad. Their music carries a quiet intensity that translates powerfully to a live setting, and for the Nepali community in Australia, many of whom have not had the chance to see them perform in person, this tour is long overdue.
If you are in any of these five cities, this is your moment. Ujan Shakya Wo: Emerge is coming to your city.
