A Guide to Finding the Perfect Bottom Wear

There are hundreds and thousands of articles and videos all over the internet that talk about choosing the right style for your body shape. To be honest, the information is a bit confusing where you have to first determine what your body shape is called and then remember the clothes that complement it. The styling game can be made simple with basic Maths and you don’t have to remember any fashion terms like ruffles, pleats, asymmetry, color blocking, illusion of curve, and so on the next time you go shopping.
The only thing that you have to remember is that there are two types of bottom wear – skirts and pants. And just you have to find out if skirts suit your body type more or pants.

You need to take measurements of your upper body and lower body first and foremost. For the upper body, measure from your belly button to your head, and for your lower body, measure from your belly button to the floor. After you get the numbers, divide the lower body measurement by upper body measurement.
If you get anything less than 1.4 cm, then skirts are your best friend as they create the illusion of a longer frame. If you get more than 1.6 cm, you should invest more on pants as you already have a longer lower body frame and they help emphasize that. If the number falls between 1.4 – 1.6, then you have a very balanced body and both skirts and pants compliment you.
