Anmol Rai Crowned Miss Pink Nepal 2024
In a glittering ceremony held on May 16, Anmol Rai was crowned Miss Pink Nepal 2024. The event, organized by the Blue Diamond Society, marked a significant celebration in honor of the International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, Intersexphobia, Transphobia, and Aphobia (IDAHOBITA+). The pageant aimed to highlight and support the LGBTQIA+ community in Nepal.
Anmol Rai, who emerged victorious among a group of inspiring contestants, will now represent Nepal at the Miss International Queen pageant in Thailand. As the newly crowned Miss Pink Nepal, Anmol will also serve as the ambassador for the Blue Diamond Society for the upcoming year, advocating for LGBTQIA+ rights and inclusivity.
The first runner-up title went to Ms. Sarosy Neupane, while Ms. Aarohi Basne secured the position of the second runner-up. Both runners-up, alongside Anmol, showcased exceptional talent, grace, and commitment to the cause of promoting equality and acceptance.
The pageant, supported by Right Here Right Now and the AIDS Healthcare Foundation Nepal, was a vibrant display of talent, beauty, and advocacy. It underscored the importance of visibility and representation for the LGBTQIA+ community in Nepal and beyond.
The judging panel for the event featured esteemed personalities including Shilpa Maskey, Loonibha Tuladhar, Sodashi Rayamajhi, and Rihan Shrestha. Their expertise and dedication ensured a fair and memorable selection process.
