Nepal celebrates an international pageant victory highlighting beauty, wellness, leadership and community service.

Kathmandu, Nepal: Nepal has achieved another milestone on the international stage as Saanvi Mandal was crowned Miss Wellness World 2026 in Bangkok, Thailand. Celebrating her achievement, Miss Wellness World Nepal organised a special crowning celebration and press conference at The Plaza, Pulchowk, Lalitpur, on October 13.

The international competition brought together representatives from more than 25 countries, providing a global platform to celebrate beauty, confidence, wellness and leadership. Mandal secured the prestigious title, while representatives from Canada, Switzerland, Morocco and Italy were also recognised among the leading contestants.

The celebration welcomed distinguished guests, media representatives, wellness advocates and tourism professionals, including representatives from the Royal Thai Embassy in Kathmandu. The gathering highlighted Nepal’s growing presence in international competitions and its potential to promote wellness tourism and community-focused initiatives.

Beyond Beauty: Promoting Health and Wellness

Unlike conventional beauty pageants, Miss Wellness World promotes the philosophy of “Beauty with Wellness,” emphasising that true beauty extends beyond physical appearance to include mental, emotional and physical well-being.

The competition encourages participants to become wellness ambassadors who inspire healthier lifestyles, positive thinking, disease prevention and social responsibility. It also provides opportunities for women to demonstrate leadership, share ideas and contribute meaningfully to their communities.

The initiative reinforces the message that “Health Is Wealth,” recognising wellness as an essential foundation for personal happiness, community development and sustainable progress.

Speaking at the event, Dr Om Rajbhandari, National Director of Miss Wellness World Nepal, highlighted the organisation’s vision of transforming international recognition into meaningful community initiatives.

He outlined plans to promote youth leadership, entrepreneurship, health awareness and active living through partnerships and community programmes. Special attention will also be given to elderly care, rehabilitation, companionship and improving access to healthcare services.

These initiatives aim to encourage collaboration among young people, professionals, businesses and institutions while strengthening Nepal’s commitment to health and social well-being.

Addressing the gathering, Mandal expressed gratitude to Miss Wellness World Nepal, Dr Om Rajbhandari, the international organising team and everyone who supported her journey.

She shared how participating in the international competition strengthened her confidence, discipline and commitment to making a positive difference in society.

Looking ahead, Mandal hopes to use her international title to encourage young people to prioritise their health, believe in their abilities and embrace social responsibility. She also emphasised environmental protection, healthy living and greater care and respect for senior citizens.

The programme concluded with appreciation for the international organisers, distinguished guests, media representatives and supporters who contributed to the celebration.

Mandal’s victory represents more than an international crown. It highlights Nepal’s potential to inspire positive change through wellness, leadership and community service on a global platform.
