Hairstyles to Try This Wedding Season

For us girls, weddings are more than the union of two souls. We have to find the perfect dress and the perfect hairstyle to go with it. We want to look our best, cause who knows, cause we might find our future husband in one of these weddings we attend.

Here are our four hairstyles that never goes out of fashion and makes heads turn:

The classic bun

We might not always have a good hair day. That’s when this hairstyle becomes our savior. It makes you look chic, and put-together and takes very little effort and time. The first step in doing any hairstyle is detangling and combing your hair nicely. You should tie your hair in a low ponytail. Roll the ponytail into a bun and secure it with a hair-tie. You might want to use bobby pins to secure the bun as you might dance the day away. To give it a more sophisticated look, you can tie around fresh gajras around the bun. This hairstyle looks great with Banarasi or Kanjivaram sarees.

The messy bun

If you do not want to highlight your beautiful facial features but also do not want your hair always falling in your face, then you can try this messy bun. The process is the same except you pull out a few strands of hair here and there. Be gentle as you roll your ponytail into a bun and let out your baby hairs. You might also want to pull out strands around your face to make it stand up to its name.

The half up do

This has to be the simplest yet the most beautiful hairstyle to ever exist. Place your thumbs on both sides of your head and gather the hair. Pull them backwards and tie them in a low pony. Bonus point if you have curly or wavy hair. This hairstyle is perfect for thick and long hair as it keeps your hair away from your face. To give it a personal touch, you can always put your favorite flower when you tie the pony or secure it later with a bobby pin. If you planned on wearing a low back blouse but have doubts about it at the last moment, this hairstyle can be the perfect way to hide away your dilemma.

The lachha dori braid

This one is my favorite! You can never go wrong with this and always make a statement. The steps are also pretty simple. Gather your hair at the nape of your neck and divide it in 3 sections. You will have one section in your right hand, one in left, and one in middle. Let the braiding begin! As you are about to reach half the length of your hair, you can add lachha dori and braid again. You can either use an elastic tie to secure the dori or use the dori itself. You can use this hairstyle in every ethnic wear. Or you can also try making a statement by wearing it with a western wear.

Get out your comb and try these hairstyles. If you do not have weddings anytime soon, and just need a reason to play dress up, let this be it.
