Hyundai Motor Ranks 30th in Interbrand’s Best Global Brands 2024
Hyundai Motor Company has announced a significant milestone, with its brand valuation reaching a remarkable $23 billion. This achievement positions Hyundai at the 30th spot on Interbrand’s prestigious Best Global Brands list for 2024.
The company has witnessed a remarkable 63% increase in brand value over the past five years, reflecting its consistent growth and strategic initiatives. This marks the second consecutive year of rising rankings, moving up six spots from 36th to 30th. Notably, Hyundai has maintained a steady upward trend for 14 consecutive years.
Several global initiatives have propelled the brand’s growth, aligning with its vision of “Progress for Humanity.” A standout achievement was the IONIQ 5 N’s victory at the 2024 World Car Awards, where it was named World Performance Car. The vehicle also earned recognition in the J.D. Power U.S. APEAL Study, further establishing Hyundai’s competitiveness as a global top automaker.
Hyundai has also expanded its global footprint through strategic investments and partnerships. The completion of the Hyundai Motor Group Innovation Center Singapore (HMGICS) and plans for new facilities like the Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America (HMGMA) and an EV plant in Ulsan solidify Hyundai’s position in future mobility and its commitment to sustainable innovation.
Customer engagement has been a cornerstone of Hyundai’s strategy. Sports sponsorships, art partnerships, the premiere of its first short film ‘Night Fishing’ and innovative initiatives like the opening of the “Na Oh” restaurant in Singapore have enhanced brand affinity. The company’s creative efforts have also been recognized with numerous accolades, including the Red Dot Award: Brand & Communications Design 2024 Awards.
Moreover, Hyundai has unveiled its mid- to long-term strategy, “Hyundai Way,” which focuses on market leadership in mobility and energy. By enhancing its software and AI, the company aims to lead the transformation of the mobility ecosystem and solidify its position as a mobility game changer in the industry.
Jaehoon Chang, President and CEO of Hyundai Motor Company, stated, “Hyundai Motor will strengthen its position as a game changer by expanding beyond vehicle manufacturing to AAM and other forms of future mobility. Our technological advances will bring a richer and more sustainable future for humanity.”
Interbrand’s annual evaluation of major multinational companies is based on financial performance, brand role, and competitive strength. Hyundai’s rise in this prestigious list underscores its consistent growth and robust performance.
Jihun Moon, CEO of Interbrand Seoul, commented, “Hyundai Motor’s two-rank increase in this year’s BGB is a testament to the company’s achievements across both the business and branding fronts. New global sales records, in tandem with continuous efforts to fortify the IONIQ and N, propel Hyundai Motors forward in the direction of genuine fandom creation.”
With a strong focus on innovation and customer satisfaction, Hyundai has been able to solidify its position as a top global brand. The company’s dedication to both business success and brand recognition has set it apart in the competitive automotive industry.
