Sixth Edition of ‘NIFF’ Opening Tomorrow at QFX Civil Mall Kathmandu

The sixth edition of the Nepal International Film Festival (NIFF) is opening tomorrow with an Opening Ceremony at QFX Civil Mall Kathmandu at 3 pm. The festival will feature seven competitions of national and international features, shorts, and documentary films. 14 awards will be distributed among the winners across all categories. There are 96 Films from 35 countries selected from over 500 entries from 55 countries all over the world.

NIFF is Nepal’s premier annual film and cultural event established in 2018 to celebrate diverse storytelling and narratives worldwide. It is an initiative to conduct an exchange of film and culture between Nepal and the rest of the world and to create a conscious, capable, and appreciative film culture in the country.

The ceremony will be presided over by the Rt. Hon’ble Prime Minister, Mr. Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, and the screening of the opening film “Chari” (Nepal), directed by Kerin Sharma and is of the duration 1 hour 31 minutes. Likewise, there will be the presence of filmmakers, jury members, supporters, media, and other delegates. Not only that but there will be also a screening of another American film “Good Guy with a Gun” directed by John Mossman. This film, which is 1 hour 48 minutes long, is screening at QFX Chaya Center and QFX Labim Mall Kathmandu at 5 pm.
