The Mini Affair: Paw-fect Celebration of Nepal’s Toy Breeds

Nepal’s first exclusive toy breed meetup – The Mini Affair – wrapped up today (November 22, 2025) at Ka Ho Cafe, Bhanimandal, delivering an adorable, heart-warming gathering for toy dogs and their devoted pet parents. With wagging tails, themed outfits, and plenty of laughter, the event celebrated Nepal’s growing pet culture and the community behind it.

Organized in collaboration with Ka Ho, Shangrila Pet Co., and Grey Standard (grooming studio), the event successfully created a safe, fun, and engaging space for both pets and owners to connect.

The afternoon kicked off with a cheerful trivia round, where dog owners were quizzed on everything from breed traits to quirky canine facts. It broke the ice instantly, sparking conversations and setting a friendly, inclusive tone for the rest of the meetup.

The headliner of the day? The dog fashion show, of course.

Toy Poodles, Miniature Pinschers, Pomeranians, Corgis, Pugs, and Chihuahuas strutted down the runway in full confidence – all with personalities larger than their size.

Awards were given out in three categories:

  • Best Dressed
  • Cutest Outfit
  • Best Personality

Each furry participant got loud cheers from the audience and plenty of love from the cameras pointed their way.

Next came the talent round, where pups showcased tricks, poses, and playful antics. Whether it was a confident spin, a high-five, or simply a heart-melting stare, every dog brought something unique.

A fun musical game where dogs had to sit as soon as the music stopped, with the last pup to sit getting eliminated, added a playful touch to the event, creating a cozy and lively atmosphere as owners mingled and pups socialized.

The Mini Affair wasn’t just cute, it had purpose.

The event offered a meaningful platform for pet parents to:

  • Exchange tips on nutrition, grooming, and training
  • Learn from each other’s experiences
  • Introduce their toy breeds to safe socialization
  • Discuss Nepal’s growing pet community and its needs

The involvement of Ka Ho, Shangrila Pet Co., and Grey Standard added professional insight into grooming, pet products, and community-building efforts.

With a warm turnout and overwhelmingly positive feedback, The Mini Affair has set the tone for future pet-focused gatherings in Nepal. It highlighted not only the charm of toy breeds but also the rising passion among Nepali pet owners for thoughtful, community-driven events.

The Mini Affair may have wrapped for now, but the spirit it created is just getting started
