Benelli Leoncino 500: The New Scrambler on the Block in Nepal

Benelli, the Italian motorcycle manufacturer, has recently launched the Benelli Leoncino 500 in Nepal. The company, after facing difficulties in maintaining its identity in the Nepalese market following its acquisition by a Chinese firm, has adopted designs by CentroStile Benelli to regain its previous charm.

The Benelli Leoncino 500 is available in two variants: the Benelli Leoncino Street and the Leoncino Scrambler. The Leoncino Street is making its debut in the Nepalese automobile market with a price tag of Rs. 8,99,999.

The bike is powered by a 499.6 cc, twin-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine, producing a maximum power of 47 BHP at 8500 rpm and a maximum torque of 45 Nm at 4500 rpm. It represents an authentic design, rediscovering sporty and exciting experiences. It adopts 17′′ alloy wheels, 45mm upside-down adjustable fork suspension, and a laterally mounted shock absorber, enhancing the more sophisticated look and powerful and smooth riding performance.

The riding position in the all-new Benelli Leoncino is upright, with a slightly raised handlebar and footrest position. Weighing just about 170 kg and having a ground clearance of 185mm, the bike is designed for ease of riding, regardless of road conditions. For safety purposes, an ABS system is marked as standard in both variants.

The 4-piston brake calipers gripping a 320mm disc at the front and a 260mm disc with the single-piston caliper at the rear stabilize the bike while applying sudden brakes, providing more control over the bike and delivering a more sophisticated and powerful performance.

Following the design by CentroStile Benelli, the Leoncino Street and Scrambler is designed as a street bike and a sporty all-terrain scrambler. The exterior of the vehicle provides an optimum balance of rigidity and lightweight. The curvy fuel tank, mudguard, round headlight, and floating tail section make the bike attractive. Benelli Leoncino is available in four color variants.

In the scrambler bike range in Nepal, the Ducati Scrambler and Ace British Scrambler are leading the Nepalese market. The new Benelli Leoncino stands out with its cost efficiency and performance on the bike. It was first showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo in India and is now making its debut in the Nepalese automobile market. As an affordable scrambler, this bike will meet the requirements of Nepali customers and can be a viable option to consider.

Overall, the Benelli Leoncino 500 is an exciting addition to the Nepalese automobile market, combining stylish design with powerful performance. With its advanced features and competitive price tag, it’s sure to turn heads and impress riders looking for a reliable and exciting motorcycle.
