Bollywood Meets Nepal: Highlights From the Sixth ‘Captivating Creation Award’

The sixth edition of the esteemed ‘Captivating Creation Award,’ previously held in India, recently took place in Kathmandu. A special ceremony was organized on Sunday to commemorate the event, where notable artists and personalities from both Nepal and India were honored and recognized.

Renowned Nepali senior artist Harivansha Acharya and distinguished musician Shambhujit Baskota were among the esteemed individuals acknowledged during the ceremony. The chief guest for the event was Vinod Chaudhary, a prominent Member of Parliament and businessman. Bollywood luminaries such as Bhagyashree, Ranjith, Vindu Dahra Singh, and VIP comedians were also present to present awards and honors to the deserving recipients, adding to the glitz and glamour of the occasion.

Several notable figures from diverse fields were honored during the program, including singer Devika Bandana, cricketer Paras Khadka, director Akash Adhikari, journalist Prakash Subedi, and digital technology expert Santosh Kumar Devkota. The event also recognized the contributions of individuals such as Krishna Bhusal, Tulsi Giri, Krishna Bhattarai, Kuveer Giri, Dabbu Chhetri, Geeta Adhikari, Suman Vairagi, Utsav Rasaili, and Suraksha Bhattarai.

The awards ceremony encompassed categories spanning various aspects of the entertainment industry, including best actress, best actor, best musician, best choreographer, and best production designer, with the film ‘Mahapurush’ receiving the prestigious accolade for the best movie.

The ceremony witnessed the presentation of awards to renowned artists from both Bollywood and Nepal, honoring their outstanding contributions. Bollywood actress Bhagyashree expressed her admiration for the natural beauty of Nepal and the warm hospitality she experienced during her visit.

Bhyagyashree expressed her desire to revisit Nepal with her entire family, acknowledging the country’s global recognition for its stunning landscapes. Bhagyashree emphasized the significance of the ‘Captivating Creation Award’ in fostering cultural exchange between India and Nepal.

As part of their visit, the Indian artists participating in the award program also had the opportunity to explore the revered Pashupatinath temple. The event commenced with the national anthems of Nepal and India, followed by entertaining comedic performances and soulful musical renditions by Indian artists. The audience was captivated by the comic act presented by Viapi Comedian, while the traditional Kauda dance from Nepal added a delightful touch to the program.

The successful conclusion of the sixth edition of the ‘Captivating Creation Award’ in Kathmandu highlighted the commendable achievements of artists and personalities from Nepal and India. This event not only celebrated their contributions but also fostered a stronger bond between the two nations through cultural exchange.
