Changan’s Deepal SL03: Premium Electric Sedan Debut in Nepal
Changan’s much-anticipated electric sedan, the Deepal SL03, is set to make waves in Nepal, signaling a new era for eco-friendly mobility. Marketed by MAW Vriddhi AutoCorp, the authorized distributor of Changan vehicles in Nepal, the Deepal SL03 is part of the brand’s ambitious entry into the Nepali electric vehicle market, along with the Deepal S7.
While the official price for the Deepal SL03 in Nepal has not been disclosed, it is expected to be a premium offering given its futuristic design and high-end features. Internationally, the sedan is priced between US$25,000 and US$30,000, offering options for the 515Km and 705Km ranges.
The Deepal SL03 boasts a striking design, featuring a sharp and sleek profile complemented by a 1.3-meter panoramic sunroof and frameless doors. The sedan stands out with its tri-arrow LED taillights and 19-inch wheels, creating an aesthetically pleasing balance between modern styling and a premium build.
Under the hood, the Deepal SL03 is powered by a 190kW Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor, delivering an impressive 258 PS of power and 320 Nm of torque, along with a 58.1kWh Ternary Lithium Battery for a 515Km range. An extended range option is also available with a 160kW motor, offering 218 PS, the same torque, and a 79.97kWh Ternary Lithium Battery for a 705Km range.
Safety features include ABS, ESC, HAC, TPMS, and a comprehensive Advanced Driving Assistance System. The sedan is equipped with a 360-degree camera, six airbags, and a cutting-edge augmented reality HUD display.
Changan Nepal plans to launch the Deepal SL03 in Q1 of 2024, marking a significant step towards sustainable and advanced electric mobility in Nepal. The car is expected to compete in the premium sedan segment, providing an attractive alternative for environmentally conscious consumers.
