Laxmi Group Celebrates 51st Anniversary with Dedication to Growth and Community Welfare
Kathmandu, Nepal – Laxmi Group, a distinguished conglomerate with roots tracing back to its establishment as Laxmi Mithai Bhandar in 1973, celebrates its 51st anniversary this year. What began as a modest sweets shop has flourished into a dynamic enterprise operating across diverse industries.
Today, Laxmi Group is recognized for its contributions to automotive trading (passenger and commercial vehicles, along with auto components), manufacturing (steel, paper, plastic, and confectionery), and active engagement in the sports sector. With over 2,000 employees, the group has played a pivotal role in Nepal’s economic development over the past five decades.
To mark this significant milestone, Laxmi Group has reaffirmed its commitment to corporate social responsibility (CSR) through impactful community-focused initiatives. Among these, a blood donation drive saw participation from over 100 employees, emphasizing the group’s dedication to promoting health and well-being within the community.
In addition, Laxmi Intercontinental, a prominent division of the group, extended support to the “Self-Help Group for Cerebral Palsy” in Dhapakhel by donating essential stationery and supplies. This initiative reflects the group’s sustained focus on social causes and its mission to uplift underserved communities.
Further demonstrating its commitment to environmental preservation, Hyundai Kathmandu, a key entity under the Laxmi Group umbrella, organized a cleaning campaign near the historic Bhatbhateni Temple in Naxal. This effort highlights the group’s dedication to fostering sustainable practices and protecting Nepal’s heritage sites.
