You already know what’s going on in the cinemas: the Nepal International Film Festival (NIFF) begins today with “Chari” as the opening feature. Not only that, but during the following 5 days, you will be able to witness one of the most exciting and unforgettable cinematic experiences with 96 films from 35 countries. This Friday’s NIFF is the sole showing of 10 different films from across the world, as well as documentaries, short films, and short live-action. Similarly, this Friday, two new films will be released in cinemas: DC comic superhero and an Indian Kannada movie.

Shazam! Fury of the Gods

Shazam! Fury of the Gods is a 2023 American superhero film based on the DC Comics character Shazam. This sequel movie of 2019 Shazam is an action, adventure, and comedy genre directed by David F. Sandberg. The film continues the story of teenage Billy Baston who, upon reciting the magic word “SHAZAM!” is transformed into his adult Super Hero alters ego, Shazam. The star casts of the movie are Zachary Levi, Helen Mirren, Djimon Hounsou, Adam Brody, and Meagan Good.

Kabzaa

Kabzaa is an Indian Kannada-language period action film directed by R. Chandru. This movie is about the sons of freedom fighters and Gandhi followers who were brutally assaulted in 1947 sons get trapped in the mafia world and the story revolves around 1942 to 1986. The film features Upendra, Shiva Rajkumar, Kiccha Sudeepa, and Shriya Saran in the lead roles. This 2hrs 16min movie contains action, crime, drama, and thriller to entertain audiences.

Likewise, NIFF is screening different national and international movies, short movies, documentaries, and short live-action in four QFX cinemas i.e QFX Civil Mall, QFX Labim Mall, QFX Chaya Center, and QFX Bhaktapur.
