Nepali Classic “Hami Tim Bhai” Set for Sensational Comeback

After nearly two decades, the highly acclaimed Nepali film ‘Hami Tin Bhai,’ originally directed by the late Shiva Regmi, is set to be revived and brought back to the silver screen. Regarded as one of the finest movies in Nepali cinema history during its time, the upcoming production, helmed by director Madhusudan Bhattarai, garnered attention as the script was ceremoniously celebrated and revered at the Mankamana temple in Gorkha. With the shooting scheduled to commence on the 10th of Shrawan, 2080, anticipation is building among eager audiences, despite uncertainty surrounding whether this will be a remake or a movie with a similar title.

The film will feature a stellar cast, including Binod Neupane, Kushal Bishta, Jahanvi Basnet, Rajaram Poudel, Ravindra Jha, and Bishnu Sapkota. Harke Haldar, Deepak Bidari, Falit Rai, Tara Sharma, Bhuvan Kumar Kafle, Nayan Kala Phuyal, and Pawan KC Additionally, two more actresses are set to be selected, further enhancing the ensemble. The screenplay and dialogue, integral to the story envisioned by director Bhattarai, have been penned by Shivam Adhikari.

Produced under the prestigious Cine Arts banner, the film boasts a talented team. Sajit Mahat serves as the presenter, with Bikram Tamang as the executive producer, Triratna Shrestha as the producer, and Pratima Thapa Pokharel and Bhaktlal Shrestha as co-producers. The cinematography is entrusted to Shiv Dhakal, while renowned choreographer Kabiraj Gahatraj will showcase his talent. Dev Maharjan is responsible for the action direction, and the music will be composed by SB Sapkota with background music by Alice Karki. The editing will be expertly handled by Banish Shah.

The revival of ‘Hami Tin Bhai’ has generated considerable excitement within the Nepali film industry and among fans alike. The original film garnered immense popularity, and its upcoming reimagining is expected to captivate audiences once again.
