5 Simple Exercises to Do During Your Period

Periods can sometimes make it difficult to stay active, but gentle exercises can actually help alleviate cramps, improve mood, and boost your energy levels. Here are five simple exercises you can do during your period to feel better and stay fit!

Gentle Walking

Walking is one of the easiest and most effective exercises during your period. You don’t need to rush; just take a 15-20 minute walk in the park or around your house. Walking helps relieve bloating, improves circulation, and can even boost your mood. Plus, it’s a great way to get some fresh air and clear your mind.

Pelvic Tilts

Pelvic tilts can help ease lower back pain and menstrual cramps by gently stretching your pelvic muscles. Lie on your back with your knees bent and feet flat on the floor. Slowly tilt your pelvis up toward the ceiling and then back down, engaging your core muscles. Repeat 10-15 times. Make sure to breathe deeply and slowly as you perform this movement for added relaxation.

Child’s Pose (Balasana)

Child’s pose is a relaxing yoga position that stretches your back and hips. Start by kneeling on the floor and sitting back on your heels. Stretch your arms forward and rest your forehead on the mat. Cat-Cow Stretch

Leg Raises
