Kathmandu’s most iconic boulevard is getting ready for a massive New Year celebration. Xtreme Saturday, the belovedDurbarmargStreet Festival, is back for its 19th edition on Saturday, May 2, 2026 (Baisakh 19, 2083), promising to kick off the Nepali New Year with full energy.

Held on the streets of Durbarmarg, one of Kathmandu’s mostvibrantthoroughfares, the festival transforms the city’s heart into an open-air celebration space. With jacaranda trees in full bloom lining the avenue, it’s set to be as visually stunning as it is electrifying.

The event is organized by Maverix and Arbitrary Events, andinitiatedby the Durbar Marg Development Board, reflecting a strong partnership between the private sector and the local community to celebrate Naya Barsha in style.
