Apple Entertainment, in partnership with QFX Cinemas and Big Mart, has launched the Michael Dance Challenge, a social media contest inviting the general public to participate in a dance-themed competition running from April 17 to April 30, 2026.

The contest asks participants to visit any QFX Cinemas premises, including lobbies, hallways, or areas near the standees, and record a dance reel on location. Entrants are required to upload their videos, tag the three organizing brands, and include the hashtag #MichaelAtQFX to be eligible.

Two prize tiers have been announced. The first-place winner will receive an HTC Wildfire E5 smartphone along with food vouchers and additional gifts. A second-place prize of food vouchers and other gifts has also been made available.

The contest is open until midnight on April 30, 2026, with winners to be announced on May 1, 2026.

The initiative appears to coincide with the soon to be released Michael biopic, tying in the aspect of dance, a format befitting to the King of Dance and Pop, Michael Jackson. It is an attempt to celebrate the heritage he has left behind as we get closer to the official theatrical release.
