Nepali-Indian actress and model Aditi Budhathoki has made her much-anticipated debut at the 2026 Cannes Film Festival, walking the prestigious red carpet as a representative of BMW India.

Ahead of the event, she shared her vision for the occasion: “I want my looks to feel elegant, timeless, and truly me. On day one, I am wearing my friendSiwangi Pradhan’sdesign and on day two, I’m wearing Gauri and Nainika’s creation.”

For Aditi, the moment carries a deeper significance. Born in Kathmandu, Nepal, she relocated to India to pursue her dreams in theentertainmentindustry, and it is India she now proudly represents on the world stage. “It feels deeply meaningful and humbling representing India on a global platform like this,” she said. “It’s not just about individual recognition, but about carrying the stories, emotions, languages, andculturalrichness of our part of the world onto a stage where the whole world is watching.”

At the start of her career, Aditi made her acting debut in the 2018 Nepali film Kri alongside actor Anmol KC. She has since appeared inmusic videosand served as a presenter at cricket’s World Championship of Legends.

With her Cannes debut now a reality, Aditi Budhathoki has taken a bold step forward — a proud moment for Nepal and South Asia on the world stage.
