The Hidden Treasure officially launches this year’s pageant with a revamped competition format, nationwide auditions, and three international titles on the line — finale set for August 1

The Hidden Treasure officially launched the Miss Nepal 2026 pageant during a press meet held today, May 20, 2026, unveiling details about this year’s competition, audition schedule, sponsors, and a notable format change that’s already turning heads.

Applicationsfor Miss Nepal 2026 are now officially open for aspiring contestants from across Nepal as well as the Nepali diaspora abroad. Applications close on June 8, 2026 (Jestha 25, 2083), and registration is completely free.

The grand finale is scheduled for Saturday, August 1, 2026 (Shrawan 16, 2083) at The Plaza, Pulchowk, and will be broadcasted live.

Three Titles, One Stage

This year’s competition will crown:

• Miss Nepal World 2026
• Miss Nepal Cosmo 2026
• Miss Nepal International 2026

The Biggest Change This Year: A New Q&A Format

One of the most talked-about announcements from the press meet is the revamp of the traditional question-and-answer segment. Instead of the conventional format, the Q&A will now be conducted exclusively among the Top 5 or Top 6 finalists. According to The Hidden Treasure Nepal, the change is designed to better prepare contestants for international pageantry andglobal competitionstandards.

Who Can Apply?

To qualify for Miss Nepal 2026, applicants must:

• Be between 18 and 27 years old
• Have a minimum height of 5 feet 3 inches
• Hold Nepali citizenship

Nepali women living abroad may also apply using an NRN card issued by Nepal’s Home Ministry.

Auditions Are Coming to Your City

Regional auditions will take place across multiple cities:

Miss Nepal activation campaigns will also be organized in 10 colleges across Kathmandu ahead of the auditions. Selectedcontestantswill then undergo training sessions leading up to the finale.

Nepal’s International Legacy

The press meet also took a moment to recognize Nepal’s recent representatives on the global pageant stage. Miss Nepal Earth 2025 Sony Ghale represented Nepal at Miss Earth in Manila and won the Talent Round. Miss Nepal International 2025 Urusha Bhandari competed at Miss International in Tokyo, while Miss Nepal Cosmo 2025 Deepshikha Nepal flew the flag at Miss Cosmo in Vietnam.

In an emotional moment at the press meet, Miss Nepal World 2025Luna Luitelexpressed heartfelt gratitude to organizers and sponsors for supporting her Beauty with Purpose project through its challenges. She also praised her fellow titleholders for their international representations and pledged to give her best when she represents Nepal at Miss World.
