Instant Klub Nepal: Bringing the Asian Drama Ramen Experience to Kathmandu
If you have watched Korean, Japanese, or Chinese dramas, you already know the scene: a late-night convenience store, friends gathered around steaming cups of ramen, mixing drinks, laughing, and talking about life. For years, Nepali audiences have connected with these moments through screens. Instant Klub Nepal is where that Asian drama fantasy finally becomes real.
Founded by entrepreneur Pratik Sthapit, Instant Klub is Nepal’s first authentic cook-it-yourself ramen station, located in Bakhundole, Lalitpur. More than just a ramen place, it introduces a completely new food experience: one that blends Asian pop culture, DIY dining, and experiential food trends now gaining popularity among Nepali youth.

From New Road Wholesale to Kathmandu’s First DIY Ramen Concept
Before launching Instant Klub, Pratik spent years working in the wholesale business at New Road. That journey taught him the realities of Nepal’s supply chains, customer psychology, and the discipline required to survive in competitive markets.
The idea for Instant Klub, however, was born during his business travels across China, Thailand, Cambodia, and Vietnam. Like many Asian cities, convenience stores there offer instant ramen that customers cook and customize on the spot. At the same time, Nepal was witnessing a surge in Asian drama viewership, Korean food trends, and noodle culture.
Young Nepalis already loved chow chow, ramen, and Asian street food – they just lacked the space to experience it the way they saw in dramas.
Instant Klub Nepal: Where You Are the Chef
What sets Instant Klub apart from traditional restaurants is its interactive dining model. Every customer becomes part of the process.
How the Instant Klub Experience Works
- The Ramen Wall: Choose from a wide selection of authentic East Asian ramen brands.
- Custom Toppings Station: Over 50 add-ons including narutomaki, chikuwa, shumai, fish balls, nori sheets, shrimp, cheese, and more.
- Smart Cooking Machines: Specialized induction stations ensure perfect timing and water levels at the push of a button.
- Ice Cup Drink Bar: Mix peach tea, coffee, lemonade, flavored milk, soda, or even espresso shots to create your own custom drink.
This level of customization allows customers to combine Korean noodles, Japanese toppings, and Thai-inspired drinks; something rarely found in Nepal’s food scene.

Overcoming Challenges in Nepal’s Food Startup Scene
Instant Klub opened around six months ago, but faced a major challenge almost immediately. Just ten days after launch, the road in front of the store was dug up for construction. Dust, potholes, and blocked access delayed what was meant to be a grand opening.
Yet customers still showed up.
Despite the difficult location, visitors came not just to eat, but to film the ramen-making process, share it on social media, and return with friends. This organic growth validated one key insight: Nepali consumers are ready for experience-driven food concepts.
Redefining What a Startup Means in Nepal
According to Pratik, one of the biggest misconceptions in Nepal’s startup ecosystem is that innovation means modern interiors with the same old menus. Burgers, momo, and pizzas dominate, even in newly opened spaces.
Instant Klub challenges that idea by introducing new behavior, not just new decor. It invites customers to participate, experiment, and engage with food differently: mirroring the convenience-store culture popular across East Asia.
Sustainability, Scale, and the Future of Instant Klub
Balancing risk with long-term sustainability is central to Instant Klub’s vision. The brand continues to expand its noodle varieties while planning a dedicated DIY drink section. Scaling into multiple locations across Nepal will allow bulk imports, better pricing, and improved affordability.
The goal is clear: make premium, international food experiences accessible to everyday Nepali consumers.

Inspired by Asian Dramas, Built for Nepal
Pratik Sthapit’s personal mantra is simple: commit fully or don’t start at all. From leaving a stable wholesale business to navigating broken roads and complex imports, Instant Klub exists because of persistence and belief in a new idea.
For a generation raised on Asian dramas, late-night ramen scenes, and instant noodle cravings, Instant Klub Nepal is more than a restaurant.
