Lemon Tree Premier Budhanilkantha Celebrates World Environment Day with a Week of Action
Kathmandu, 7 June 2025 – In honor of World Environment Day, Lemon Tree Premier Budhanilkantha took meaningful steps to promote environmental sustainability and community engagement through a series of impactful cleaning campaigns.
Kicking off the celebration on 5th June, the hotel led a large-scale cleaning drive at the Budhanilkantha Temple which is one of Kathmandu’s most treasured spiritual and cultural landmarks. The initiative was part of Lemon Tree’s broader Environment Week, designed to promote cleanliness, raise awareness about environmental conservation while preserving the sacred spaces.
Extending their environmental efforts, Lemon Tree Premier collaborated with the Nepal Army, Nepal Scouts and Ultimate Venue for a major cleanup campaign on 7th June along the most used Tarebhir hiking trails. Volunteers from all participating groups rolled up their sleeves to clean the trails and surrounding areas, underlining a shared mission to protect Nepal’s natural beauty and promote responsible and eco-friendly tourism.
The campaigns drew enthusiastic participation, showcasing a unified commitment to a cleaner, greener Nepal.
This week of action is part of Lemon Tree Premier Budhanilkantha’s long-term sustainability mission which includes regular environmental initiatives, educational outreach and collaborative community efforts.
Through these continued efforts Lemon Tree reaffirms its role not just as a hospitality provider, but as a proactive steward of the environment and community well-being.
