Pawankali Shines at Cannes Film Festival
Luniva Tuladhar, a 40-year-old actress from Kathmandu, has achieved a significant milestone as two of her films are now being screened at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival. Luniva began her acting journey at the age of 16, often sneaking out to perform in dramas by claiming she had extra classes, since her family wouldn’t allow her to work outside her studies. Inspired by her uncle’s encouragement and the influence of Madhuri Dixit and the Mahajodi duo, she has since acted in numerous dramas and films, including “Night Mother,” “Kabaddi Kabaddi,” and “Jackie I am 21.”
Luniva Tuladhar’s story is a remarkable example of how determination and passion can lead to extraordinary achievements. Her journey from sneaking out to perform in dramas to walking the red carpet at Cannes is truly inspiring. As she continues to explore and experiment with diverse roles, Luniva hopes to inspire a new generation of actors to follow their dreams with unwavering commitment.
Luniva expressed her joy over the selection of her films at Cannes, saying, “I always wanted to experiment with different roles, and I am so happy to do it.” She encourages aspiring actors to balance their studies with their passion for acting and to remain resilient. “The audience is our oxygen,” she says. “Keep loving and supporting us like this. Support talented individuals after watching their performances.”
