‘Relko Bato’ wins prestigious award in India

‘Relko Bato’ won the Best Video Director, Best Lyricist, Best Actor, and Best Actress awards at one of the most prestigious film festivals, the Babasaheb Dr. B. R. Ambedkar International Film Festival hosted in India.
The popular Nepali music video “Relko Bato,” directed by Laxman Sunar and composed by Suraj Pandit, has successfully captured the audience’s attention. The video features Chirinjeevi Sapkota, Saraswati Khatri, and Laxman Devkota and showcases the magnificent landscape of Nepal in backdrop. The music video released on March 11, 2021, highlights the struggles of people living in rural areas and their perseverance to rise above all the difficulties. The prominent problem of lack of connectivity and transportation faced by people living in rural areas is symbolically depicted using the metaphor of a railway track in the video.
