IME Life Insurance Provides Financial Support for Free Cataract Surgeries for 100 Underprivileged Citizens
IME LifeInsuranceCompany Limited, under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, has partnered with Matrika Eye Center to support free cataract surgeries for 100 patients in Janakpur who have been unable to access treatment due to financial hardship.
The company has contributed NPR 600,000 toward the program, with the surgeries expected to directly benefit 100 cataract patients from rural areas of Dhanusa and Mahottari districts.
Matrika Eye Center has been conductingeyehealth services, cataract screening, and surgical programs across various districts of Nepal for a number of years. The combination of the center’s experience and expertise with IME Life Insurance’s social commitment is expected to create a meaningful and lasting impact within these communities.
Mr. Khilendra Paudel, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of IME Life Insurance, noted that the company has been consistently contributing to health, education, andcommunitydevelopment through its CSR programs. He expressed confidence that this collaboration would offer new hope to underprivileged citizens at risk of losing their sight due to financial constraints.
Similarly, Mr. Suraj Shrestha, Chairman of Matrika Eye Center, expressed gratitude for IME Life Insurance’s support, stating that the program would bringpositivechange to the lives of hundreds of underprivileged families in rural areas.
In line with its core motto of “Securing Future,” IME Life Insurance continues to carry forward its CSR programs, contributing to education, health, environmental conservation, financial literacy, and community development.
