The 8th National Skateboarding Championship: A Milestone for Nepal’s Skateboarding Scene

The 8th National Skateboarding Championship unfolded at Skaters Nepal Skatepark in Tokha, Kathmandu. It was organized by the Nepal Skating and Skateboarding Association (NSSA). The event showcased the growing enthusiasm and talent in Nepal’s skateboarding community.

The championship featured over 450 participants out of which 300 were men and 150 women competing in the street freestyle disciplines: Best Trick and Best Run. These events tested skaters’ creativity and technical prowess on rails, ledges, and ramps.

The championship served as a platform to identify top talents who will represent Nepal on the global stage. This aligns with the NSSA’s commitment to promoting skateboarding and providing skaters with international exposure.

Gajendra Bardewa wins first place in the Men’s category in the 8th National Skateboarding Championship.

Gajendra Bardewa won first place in the Men’s category, Saradh Rai came second and Basanta Rai came third.
In the Female category, Khusi BK took first place followed by Lemong Magar in second and Samiksya Rai in third.
In the Junior category, Abishek Pariyar won first place. Ankit BK came second and Abinas Kumal came third.

The 8th National Skateboarding Championship not only highlighted the skill and passion of Nepal’s skaters but also underscored the need for improved infrastructure and support.
