Hara: Nepal’s New K-pop Face Breaking Through MEPC’s Portal to a New World | The Buzz Nepal May Feature
“Don’t be afraid to try. The bigger and more global the stage you choose, the more challenging it becomes because so many people are watching. In those moments, it’s important to believe and love yourself.”
Suchana Bohara (HARA)
From Kailali to K-pop’s Global Stage
Hara, born Suchana Bohara from Kailali, Nepal, is a member of MEPC, who debuted on December 8, 2025. Her journey reflects a bold departure from the familiar, driven by ambition, discipline, and a desire to master both singing and dancing at a professional level. What first pulled her into performance was the electrifying energy ofBLACKPINK’s“Pink Venom,” inspiring her to pursue a path that felt powerful, expressive, and global.
“Being good at both singing and dancing is already a challenge in itself, that’s what really attracted me.”
MEPC: A Concept Built Beyond Boundaries
MEPC, short for “My Escape Point C,” blends meaning and concept in striking fashion, with “C” symbolising a portal beyond boundaries and “stylish” in Korean. The group unites seven members, each like a distinct colour, coming together to form one cohesive identity designed to push past boundaries and redefine stage presence in K-pop.
Adapting to Korea and Surviving Trainee Life
The biggest challenge she faced entering the Korean entertainment system was language and cultural adjustment, from etiquette-rooted expressions like saying “잘 먹겠습니다” before meals to the frequent use of thank you in daily interactions. The intense trainee routine demanded constant practice, patience, and endurance. On exhausting days, she reminded herself: “It’s either this or nothing.”
What Outsiders Don’t See
Behind K-pop’s glamour lies long hours, repetition, and constantmentalconditioning. According to Hara, the most overlooked aspect of training is not skill-building but learning patience and endurance under pressure.
“People think it happens quickly, but in reality, it takes years of discipline, pressure, and mental strength.”
A New Chapter with MEPC
Now performing as a debuted artist, Hara sees seven distinct identities merging into one powerful creative force within MEPC. The group is actively preparing for multiple projects, including activities as PR ambassadors for Cheonan City FC, a second album comeback, and a planned European tour to connect with fans around the world.
A Message to Nepal’s Dreamers
Hara’s message to young Nepali dreamers is direct: take the leap regardless of fear. “Don’t be afraid to try. The bigger and moreglobalthe stage you choose, the more challenging it becomes because so many people are watching. In those moments, it’s important to believe and love yourself.”
